"I'm sure you've seen those photo mosaic posters consisting of thousands of tiny photos that form a larger picture if you stand back. I like to think (or hope (I suppose)) that male/female communication is similar to that concept. Each sex is standing so damn close to the mosaic, focusing intently on the little pictures that make very little cohesive sense, that they forget to step back and notice how the little pictures form something far more important, something you see without having to know every tiny picture, something that makes you say, 'Whoa, that’s neat.'
What that 'important' 'thing' might be, on the other hand, is an entirely different analogy."
